Deathproof

I'm betting you all know who Quentin Tarantino is and either you love his movies, or dislike them. I haven't really found anyone who just thinks they are "meh".

I'm not the biggest fan of Pulp Fiction, in fact I disliked it a bit, but his movie Deathproof is amazing. It started out really boring because you follow some girls who are just ordinary boring girls and the scenes are dragged out for WAY longer than they should.

BUT! (Oh yes, there's always a but. What else would you sit on?) The girls goes to some bar and the movie starts to follow several people in the bar. Things start to get interesting and all of a sudden, awesome stuff happens.
I'm not going to reveal anything, but the I really don't like how the main character suddenly "shifts" personality in the ending. The way it ended was fucking funny though. I laughed my ass off xD

I don't think the movie is that long, so you should go check it out if you get a chance to see it. It's quite awesome

  2. I'm in the "strongly dislike" category, so I'm skipping this one, any every other movie he makes. :D

  3. Just for the record it's definitely not a new movie. It was one half of Grindhouse, which hit theaters like 3-4 years ago IIRC.

  14. I had always heard that out of the two grindhouse features, Planet Terror was better, so I picked up that one, and it is damn good. I'll have to finally go back and check out Deathproof though, thanks for reminding me.

  18. The main problem I have with Tarantino movies is that the dialog, although usually cleverly written, drags too much. It's just not my thing.

  24. i can't take that guy, his movies are so long and drawn out. so many scenes should have landed on the cutting room floor

  25. I liked the car. Were you able to spot the feet scene? Apparently Quentin Tarantino always puts a foot fetish scene in his movies.

  28. I'm the opposite of you man, I didn't like this movie, but enjoyed pretty much all of his other ones lol

  29. I'm the opposite. I hated Deathproof, and loved Pulp fiction. The beginning was just too boring. I admit the part where the chick's leg gets ripped off was awesome, but I still didn't like it overall.

  33. Definitely not a Tarantino fan. I find his movies to be pretentious, overly long, boring and too self-conscious to be taken seriously (or enjoyed for that matter).
