I always wash my hands in cold water. I'm not really sure why though... Maybe it was because I didn't want to wait for the water to turn hot hmm... It wasn't pleasant getting used to, cold water is quite well... cold, to wash your hands in, but I have gotten used to it now. I have done it for over 10 years, maybe even 15.
Downside:
Public bathrooms. School and work (not so much work, there's neither hot or cold water, only "neutral" >_>) are a bit problematic. I finish doing my thing on the toilet, I come out and wants to wash my hands so I turn the handle and place my hands in the sink, and I'm almost certain this is true: I could have sworn I heard the sink yell "By fire be purged!" the instant the water came out, which was scoldingly hot of course.
I don't relly know if it's a clever thing or just utterly retarded. Are there any people with cold blooded hands in here :)?
I prefer hot water
ReplyDeleteI use cold water too! not sure why either, but think you might be right about being unpatient. :)
ReplyDeleteI have cold-blooded hands also. No idea how that happened. My showers are even neutral most of the time. Sometimes colder feels more comfortable that way. I chalk it up to being a warm person naturally though, so cold feels good.
ReplyDeleteI prefer cold mostly, but not all the time.

ReplyDeleteThe sink at work just starts getting warm when I have to rinse my hands. I like it because I never burn my hands on OMGHOT water, but I also never have to deal with water that's too cold.
ReplyDeleteI've always felt like the cold kills more germs. Probably from when I was told as a kid that germs like warm places.
